Book Tag

I am getting around to this book tag Beth got me with a while ago. I am reading The Hemingway Book Club of Kosovo, the third sentence on page 125 is.....


"When the Frenchmen made insulting remarks about the judge's intelligence and education, our friend calmly translated, "The chair says it is time to adjourn for luncheon."


If anyone is looking for a good and interesting book to read I strongly suggest this one. It has really opened my eyes to a part of the world I knew nothing about.

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream

Ky and Jen gave our kids Leatherbys gift certificates for Christmas and we decided it was time to use them. We made it a family affair and invited the Coopers, Mom and Guy, Aaron and Mary, and Dad. We ordered some dinner (a bad idea, the food is not that great) and then it was time for the real reason we went ICE CREAM! The Daddy Doug’s sounded good and we thought it would be big enough for our family to share. Well it was big enough and then some. I am not kidding when I say I have not seen so much ice cream in one dish. It said it was a banana split but we couldn’t find the banana. The kids thought it was awesome until we told them they had to eat the whole thing. We had them going for awhile, but when Owen said his stomach hurt we ended our joke.

I watched Claire and Whitley a few weeks ago while Nae and Bryan went to Las Vegas. We had so much fun Frankie and Claire wore themselves out. Isn't it amazing that moments like this make us forget the trouble two year olds can get into.

Frankie doesn't have pants on and Claire is a mess but they look like cute little angles. Thanks Nae for letting the girls stay over, I will take them anytime.

Good Sport

After dropping off Lucy at preschool I usually don't want to go home. So I drag Frankie along with me to some store. He is always a good sport and fun company, on this particular day we headed to the mall and he got to play in the "dinosaurs". I know at times it is nice to go to the mall by yourself or with your girlfriends but I will always remember my trips with my little buddy.

Denver?

I don't want to offend my visitor from Denver, but I don't think I know anyone there. So if you visit us again will you please leave a comment and let me know whats up. Thanks.

Easter 2008

Easter 2008 was a good one. It started on Saturday and the Bakers annual Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun and the kids got tons of candy. I forgot my camera so sorry there are no pics of the mad dash for sugar. After the hunt we had a ward brunch which was very good.

Mom decided to have Easter lunch so we headed over there for ham, potato salad, and asparagus. It was tasty. We dyed eggs which I have to say is not one of my favorite Easter activities, but my kids had a good time so that is all that matters. We had an egg hunt and my kids got even more candy.

Sunday was not quite as eventful which was OK by me. My kids woke up to their baskets and then we headed out for church. After church we went to Kylan's for a great dinner.

Thanks to everyone who had us over, we had a great time and all the food was super.
