Girls love soccer!

Day 3 of summer was Saturday which means soccer. Lucy and Lydia had their last games of the season. It has been so much fun watching the girls play this season.

This was Lydia's first season, and she had quite a bit of fun. At this age it's just a bunch of kids in a big pack trying to be the one who kicks the ball the most. Her team was the blue dolphins and she loved running around and making new friends.

Lucy's season was bitter sweet this time around. It was great that she was finally on a winning team, but we were sad that this was her coaches last season coaching rec. Lucy has been playing soccer for about three years now and has really come to love the game. She has improved so much and we have her wonderful coach Scott Roberts to thank for that. She has played for Scott for four seasons and he has taught her so much.

Watching Lucy's games is so much fun. I have come to love soccer just from watching her play. She played mid field and right wing this season and really liked both positions. We are going to miss Scott so much, but hope to play for him again next year when Lucy feels more comfortable with the idea of comp soccer.

It has been a great season for the girls. We are ready for a soccer break but will be back at it come fall!
