We Love Dads!

I am pretty lucky to have some great men in my life. I was raised by a great man. He taught me a lot growing up and still continues to teach me. My dad is one of the most spiritual people I know. He knows so much about the gospel and loves the Savior so much.

I can talk to my dad about anything, he just listens and never judges. I have vented, cried and laughed with my dad. We both have a love of politics and talk radio and most of the time that is what we chat about.

My kids LOVE their papa and he loves them. He does just about anything they ask of him. He has paced for hours with them as babies, pushed them in a swing as toddlers until they have fallen asleep, and is always the one who will go to the park when no one else will. He is a great grandpa and he loves it. His saying for being a grandpa is "if I would have known how much fun it is to be a grandpa I would have done it before having kids."

I am married to my favorite dad! Jeff is a great dad and our kids are so lucky to have him. He loves his kids and is always there for them. He teaches them by his example and only wants the best for them. The kids love to spend time with him and he is usually willing to play along with them.

He has taught his kids to love University of Utah sports. He and the three oldest kids have had UofU basketball tickets for the past couple of seasons and the kids love it. They bleed red, just like their dad!

He is currently the young mens president and Henry likes having his dad around for Sunday lessons, Tuesday activities, and scout camps. They are working together on a lot of scout things and Henry is learning how to be a good man from his dad.

We are all very lucky to have Jeff in our lives. He is a great provider, and loves his family so much.
My mom is also married to a great man who has been a wonderful influence in my life. He is very kind hearted and loves my moms kids like his own. I have had many interesting and insightful conversations with Guy and I love it. He is a great man and my mom is lucky to have him.

My kids love papa Guy and he is wonderful grandpa. He has taken the kids on lots of fun outings and is always so happy to see them. They are a lucky group of rugrats to have him in their lives. We all love him.

He Really Liked it!

This was Frankie's first season of soccer, and he is hooked. He really enjoyed playing and learning about the game. He was a real go getter, and wasn't afraid to play aggressive.  In one of his games he scored three goals and thought he was pretty hot stuff. He had a great coach who was a saint to coach a team of eight and nine year old boys, and he made some new friends. I think it is safe to say that Frankie will be playing many more seasons of soccer.
He LOVES the game!

It's not an action shot, but I just love that face!

City Creek Day

My mom wanted to do something today, so we headed downtown to City Creek. We had some lunch, went into a few stores, played in the water, got a bag of candy, and went across the street to Temple Square. It was fun being together and hanging out with my sister and mom.

Henry was working with Whitt and Lucy was spending the day at girls camp so they weren't able to come with us this time. The whole time we were there I kept looking for my missing kids. It's funny how as moms we are always counting heads, even when they are teenage heads.

Love these faces

We LOVE candy!!

I soaked in as much sunshine, flowers, trees, and warmth I could. Maybe I can soak in enough to get me through the long cold winter months.

Day at the park

The Lovell kids and the Cooper kids LOVE to spend time together in the summer time. I hear "when are we going to see the Coopers" at least three times a week. These cousins are the best of friends and have been since they were born.

Today we spent our first summer 2014 day together. We went to Liberty Park and played at the splash pad and play ground. Sydni and Henry are teenagers now and don't love some of our activities but they are good sports and come along and usually have fun.
I love this face

Jack and Lucy

Owen and Frankie. Best buddies!

How did these two get so old?

The kids also LOVE their papa Tim. Every once in a while he will show up with a giant shake from Sonic for the kids to share. Tonight it was strawberry banana. These kids made quick work of that ice cream.
We LOVE summer nights!

First Swim

On the 7th day of summer vacation we had our first swim. We were invited to a birthday party for Koen and Brigs at their families club house. They have their birthday there every year and it is always so much fun. The kids get to swim, and for the most part we have the pool to ourselves.

I LOVE those teeth!!

Forever blowing bubbles

For our first Monday of summer vacation I needed to get somethings done around the house. I wish we could spend all our
days sitting by the pool or at Lagoon, but I'm afraid we would be doing those activities naked if I did.

I am no super mom and I don't have lists of activities or great ideas of my own so I had to just use what I could find around the house. Thank goodness we had a few bottles of bubbles from forever ago. I gave each kid a bottle and they had a blast sitting outside blowing away. Thank heavens I have kids that are easily entertained.

"mom, come and see this giant bubble"

Youth fundraiser

Day 3 of summer was also our YM/YW fundraiser. Jeff is the young mens president and put a lot of work into this activity. They decided to have a BBQ dinner and a silent auction with things people in the ward donated. It was a success and they got quite a bit of money.

Thanks to all the great friends and family of the Pioneer Ward, our youth will have a very fun summer.
